Summer is Coming to an End in Gull Lake

Gull Lake Community Schools Back to School Information
In the blink of an eye, summer break is almost over. Early mornings, tryouts for the sports teams, football games, back to school events, and well, early mornings. While the early mornings aren’t the most exciting thing about back to school season, there’s plenty else you’ll want to know about. We want to keep you informed. Here’s what is happening in Gull Lake for back to school:
Gull Lake High School Athletics:
August 12th is the FIRST OFFICIAL Tryout/Practice for all fall sports except volleyball.
August 15th is the first official tryout/practice for high school volleyball.
First day of school for all campuses is September 3, 2019.
Gull Lake Elementary Schools:
Please make note of the different orientation days and picture days for each campus.
Kellogg Elementary will host curriculum night on August 26th from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm. Picture day will be held on September 19th.
Richland Elementary will host curriculum night on August 27th from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm. Picture day will be held on September 10th.
Gull Lake Intermediate & Middle School
Thomas M. Ryan Intermediate will host curriculum night on August 28th from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm. Picture day will be held on September 10th.
Gull Lake Middle School will host an orientation and open house on August 26th from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm. There will be a band rental meeting on August 20th at 7:00 pm. Picture day will be held on September 3rd.
Gull Lake High School
Gull Lake High School has two orientations that will take place on August 20th and August 22nd.
Tuesday, August 20th is as follows:
9th-grade orientation - 9:00 -11:00 am (presentation, turn in paperwork, receive your schedule, school pictures)
12th-grade orientation - 1:00 - 3:00 pm, drop-in (turn in paperwork, receive your schedule)
Thursday, August 22nd is as follows:
10th-grade orientation - 9:00 -11:00 am, drop-in (turn in paperwork, receive your schedule, school pictures)
11th-grade orientation - 1:00 -3:00 am, drop-in (turn in paperwork, receive your schedule, school pictures)
For high school students unable to attend the orientation, where school pictures will be taken, there will be a make-up picture day on September 11th. Find the sports schedules here.
